A SMALL INITIATIVE BRINGS GREAT REWARDS

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is defined as the way companies integrate social, environmental, and economic concerns into their values and operations in a transparent and accountable manner. It is integral to long-term business growth and success, and it also plays an important role in promoting Canadian values internationally and contributing to the sustainable development of communities. Did you know that, the Government of Canada works with the Canadian business community, civil society groups, with foreign governments and communities as well as other stakeholders to foster and promote CSR ?

Our economy is give and take. Companies provide services and products for the public and the public pays them for their work. Without this back and forth dynamic, our economy would not be able to grow.  One needs the other and likewise.
Think of CSR ( Corporate Social Responsibility)  in the say way. Companies spend a lot of money on meetings  , conferences, product launches and other events that bring no global or measurable value in the end. Their event remains a one-off , that brings nothing but a lot of invoices and bills to the company that produces them. If we think of our events as catalysts , companies might find implementing CSR strategies are not only rewarding but have an added benefit of bringing about an awareness and central responsibility to their work teams.

Check out this case study and how Aeroplan collaborated with Atmosphere to  produce an event that incorporated a strong corporate social responsibility initiative.
